Luckily I was already pretty Web 2.0-savvy before I started, so the early stages were easy for me. I've had personal blogs on and off (mostly off) for about 8 years and been on Twitter for 3 years. I even already had some Twitter contacts within the library community.
But for the practice, I set up this new, purely work-related blog and also used Google Reader to create a few new 23 Things-related RSS feeds. I may even have read a few of the results, although to be honest my personal Twitter, Google+ and RSS occupy the lion's share of my time, because by the time I get home in the evening the last thing I want to read about is work.
This week I am going to make a bit of an effort. We have books on reflective practice in our collection, so I've borrowed one with intent to read, and I may well reflect on my reading later (see what I'm doing there? cunning, eh?)
I'll let you know how it goes.
